Our tents are built to handle typical Chesapeake wind and rain, and we secure every setup with the correct anchoring for grass (stakes) or concrete/asphalt (ballast). Light rain is no problem, and sidewalls can be added for extra protection.
For safety, we do not set up or keep tents up in severe weather (high winds, lightning, tropical systems/hurricanes). Wind cutoff: we won’t install if the forecast at the venue shows sustained winds ≥ 25 mph or gusts ≥ 35 mph during your setup/event window. If a tent is already installed and on-site winds climb to sustained 30 mph or gusts 45 mph, we may lower or strike the tent at our crew lead’s discretion.
We’ll work with you to adjust setup times or reschedule when extreme weather is expected. (Final decisions follow manufacturer guidelines for each tent size and anchoring method.)
